In her latest interview to a leading daily, Katrina can be seen revealing a few facts from her personal life. The 'Bang Bang' star has opened up on how her shy and private persona is mistaken as arrogance, her family and a few intricate details about her Bollywood journey so far.
Many would get surprised after knowing that Katrina Kaif has got a 'mandir' (temple) in her home. The lady belongs to a Muslim father and a Christian mother, therefore practices all faiths. "We have a mandir at our home. And while I don't do puja, I do light a jyot sometimes," told Katrina.
The actress who is considered to be one of the ex flames of superstar Salman Khan also elaborated about her chemistry with various filmmakers she has worked with. Katrina considers her 'Ek The tiger' director Kabir Khan very close and also describes Zoya Akhtar and her 'Fitoor' director Abhishek Kapoor as quite supportive.
The lady further revealed that her culinary skills are "terrible" and that she likes to be a private person. The actress mentioned that she often balances everything and makes sure that she doesn't take in more than she can manage.
As she got a bit candid, the lady who is allegedly dating Ranbir Kapoor these days also expressed her tryst with doing characters that can define her more as a woman. "Now I also want to elaborate on other aspects of my persona in my films. To do characters that can show a different aspect of your personality, maybe the more serious, confused, layered, complex and anxious side of you, something every woman can connect with, Katrina stated.

Katrina Kaif unveils her wax statue at Madame Tussauds London

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif on Friday unveiled her wax statue at Madame Tussauds Museum in London.

Guess what was Katrina Kaif’s first reaction upon unveiling her statue?

“This is amazing it does look really like me,” Katrina said.

Katrina’s figure was created by a team of 20 sculptors and artists over a four-month period, using hundreds of precise measurements taken at a sitting in Mumbai and cost ₤150,000 to create.

Last year, Katrina Kaif was picked for the wax statue after she beat competitors Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone to win a hotly contested poll via Madame Tussauds website.

A museum spokesperson said, “Katrina collaborated closely with the Madame Tussauds artistic team to ensure total accuracy and is delighted with the figure, which is portrayed in a dancing pose wearing a beautiful sequined white, silver and gold, two piece outfit.”

With this unveiling, Katrina Kaif has joined the statues of the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Madhuri Dixit.

Katrina Kaif Crashes Her Car While Shooting For Fitoor

As earlier we reported, Katrina Kaif is busy shooting for her upcoming movie Fitoor with actor Aditya Roy Kapur in Delhi.

The latest buzz say that while shooting a scene for Abhishek Kapoor’s Fittor, Katrina Kaif met with a little funny accident. According to the reports, the actress had to perform the scene in a convertible car.
Katrina got into the car and started driving without realizing that the door of the car was left open. The camera was on recording at that time.
With a loud crash sound, the actress smashed the car in front of the wall. Reportedly, Aditya Roy Kapoor continued shooting his shot thinking that the director can use the shot if required in the movie.
But director Abhishek Kapoor rushed to Katrina asking her if she is okay, while Aditya Roy Kapoor continued shooting.
Fitoor is directed by Abhishek Kapoor based on a love story that has never been seen in the Indian cinema. The film is based on Charles Dickens’s novel Great Expectations. It is a love story adapted from the novel.

Latest rumours suggest that Bang Bang actress Katrina Kaif will once again play Pakistani in her upcoming film Fitoor. Not Fitoor, Katrina Kaif-Aditya Roy Kapoor to be seen in Slice ad first!

Much before "Fitoor", their first film together, hits the big screen; actors Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapoor will be seen scorching the small screen in an upcoming commercial for mango drink Slice.
While Katrina's love for mangoes will continue to reflect in the commercial, Aditya will join her and will be seen as someone who is smitten by Katrina and her love for mangoes.
Katrina says she had a fun time shooting for the ad.
"I had no idea I had a fellow mango enthusiast in Aditya Roy Kapur. The shooting of the Slice commercial was so much fun especially since we shared a great rapport on the sets of 'Fitoor'," the actress said in a statement.
She describes the new ad as "playful, intriguing and refreshing with another mango crazy person in Aditya".
The ad will go live on April 1.

Katrina Kaif: Salman Khan Made My Journey in Bollywood Easier

Once romantically linked with him, actress Katrina Kaif is all praise for Salman Khan and says her journey in life and Bollywood would have been difficult without the “unique” superstar.
The 31-year-old actress, who is rumored to be dating actor Ranbir Kapoor now, said Salman is an “amazing” human being despite reports that she is miffed with the “Dabangg” star for taking a dig at her during Arpita Khan’s wedding last November.

Those who thought of Katrina Kaif as a beauty without brains will have to rethink after watching her tete-a-tete with Karan Thapar at India Today Conclave 2015.

One may break a sweat at the thought of being interviewed by Karan Thapar, but Katrina Kaif was calm, composed and unflappable at the India Today Conclave in New Delhi on Friday.

The lady answered a slew of questions and didn’t spill any beans on her personal life.

I didn’t come to India to be an actor

When I came to India I saw the openness of the people in Mumbai. I felt at home, I didn't come to be an actor but (to be a) model. As a model, I was very fortunate and achieved quite quickly. I didn't know Hindi at 17 when I was doing Boom. I had no experience at all. Jackie Shroff gave me a piece of advice: You must learn to read the Devnagari script. I took his advice and now all my scripts come in Devnagari.

Akshay advised me

‘Namastey London’ got me really noticed. I definitely am grateful to Akshay, he gave me really good advice.

Salman is an amazing person

There are many definitions with the relationship we share. I don't like to really share publicly or give labels to the relationship I share with him. Salman has been an important part of my life, not only in films but his family, his sisters. Till today, we are good friends. He is just an amazing person. He is unique, you don't meet many people like Salman. He will always remain an important part of my life. If you ever come across him, don't be afraid of striking a conversation, he interacts really well - be it a fan or who approaches him, he engages well with them.

Ranbir is naturally gifted

He is a supremely talented actor, naturally gifted. Both Salman and Ranbir are different as they have very different techniques and approaches are different.

Neetu Kapoor is a great lady

Neetu ji is a great lady who I have tremendous admiration for. As a woman, she is a fantastic person. Ranbir's family is lovely, even his father is a darling.

I feel strongly about current issues

I strongly feel about current issues, but since I am not on social media does not mean I have no views.

When Katrina Kaif And Deepika Padukone Were Just A Wall Apart

We all knew that Bang Bang actress Katrina Kaif has been flying in and out of Delhi for quite some time now, after wrapping up her Kashmir scheduled Fitoor shoot. All her previous Delhi visits were personal. Katrina wanted to spend some time with her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, who is in Delhi shooting for his upcoming film Tamasha along with ex flame Deeepika Padukone, so she made frequent trips to Delhi. Katrina used to join Ranbir during his Tamasha shoots. During these visits, there came a time when Katrina and Deepika were just a wall apart.

According to recent reports, Katrina and Deepika stayed in the same floor of the same hotel. Team of Tamasha and Katrina, who was there to visit Ranbir, attended a party thrown by one of the crew members. During this time, Katrina and Deepika’s rooms were right next to each other. Katrina and Deepika are not known to be good friends, or friends at all, yet, Katrina had no problem staying in a suite next to Deepika‘s. Release date for Katrina Kaif, Aditya Roy Kapur’s 'Fitoor' locked

Starring Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur, ‘Fitoor’ will release in February 2016, UTV Motion Pictures has announced.

‘On Valentine 2016, witness a story about love. Fitoor directed by Abhishek Kapoor releases on Feb 12,’ UTV Motion Pictures posted on Twitter.

'Fitoor' is the Bollywood adaptation of author Charles Dickens’ book ‘Great Expectations’, which has already been made into a Hollywood film.

The film also stars Rekha in a pivotal role. She reportedly plays a spinster who was left at the wedding altar by her groom and goes on to become a bitter woman, always dressed up in wedding outfits.

Katrina Kaif recently heaped praise on Rekha, and said: “Every time I have met her, I have been amazed by her warmth, her grace and her immense enthusiasm towards life. I am sure we will have a great time filming together and I am looking forward to it.”

The shooting for ‘Fitoor’ has been going on in Kashmir since quite some time. In fact, Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur shot a kissing scene for ‘Fitoor’ in Kashmir last month. You can view the photos here.
