Director Abhishek Kapoor is set to give a modern spin to the classic novel The Great Expectations in his upcoming film. An adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic, Fitoor is a love story set in Kashmir. After much delay, the film is all set to hit the screens in 2016 and the makers are out with the intriguing first look of Fitoor.

Set against a winter background, the first look shows red-haired Katrina Kaif, wrapped in a white robe, standing atop a rugged bridge.

Abhishek, whose last outing was 2013 film Kai Po Che, took to Twitter to share the first poster of his new project.

The painting like poster features a girl wandering in endless search and also bears a tagline- Ye Ishq Nahi Aasan. The trailer of the film will be unveiled on January 4.

Fitoor will have Kaif playing Firdaus, while Aditya Roy Kapur will portray the character of Noor. Buzz has it that Kapur will portray three distinctive looks in the film.

The love saga also stars Tabu, Aditi Rao Hydari, Lara Dutta and Rahul Bhatt. It is set to hit the screens on February 12, 2016.

Did Katrina Kaif keep close tab on Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone during Tamasha promotions?

Several specualtions have been doing the rounds regarding Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor's relationship.

The actress even spoke in an interview about her fear of not being loved completely. There have been rumours that Katrina is not happy with the way Ranbir and his ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone came close during the promotion of their film "Tamasha".

It is reported that Katrina used to keep a tab on the lead pair of Imtiaz Ali's film. She used to call up the producer, Sajid Nadiadwala, and give him some grief.

"Every day the film was promoted, Katrina would see the closeness and warmth between the lead pair Ranbir and Deepika, and would call up producer Sajid Nadiadwala, gripe and grumble and then request him to cut it down," Bollywood Life quoted DNA as reporting.

"It reached a crescendo especially during Diwali when Deepika and Ranbir went to Delhi and celebrated the festival there. Katrina kept close tabs on both every day. Sajid was at the end of his wits with Katrina's daily complaints, but firmly stood his ground as the promotion of his film was at stake," the report further stated.

These statements were given by a source to DNA.

Meanwhile, Deepika and Ranbir's closeness during the promotional events raised several eyebrows.

Katrina had earlier said she was a secure person but it seems things are not going down well with the actress.

"I can't enforce my will on the people in my life. Their choices are their own. I may not be happy with them, but I hope their choices will change as they mature or as they evolve," she once said in an interview with a magazine.

Meanwhile, Katrina and Ranbir will be next seen in Anurag Basu's "Jagga Jasoos" next year.

Katrina Kaif is furious over lovemaking scenes in Fitoor now. Here's why

Katrina Kaif has a reason to be upset now. Reports have it that being asked to re-shoot lovemaking scenes with Aditya Roy Kapur in Abhishek Kapoor's upcoming film Fitoor has left Katrina fuming.

A report in DNA has quoted a source as saying how Abhishek did not like the way his film was progressing. "He is so infuriated that he has called for a re-shoot of a lovemaking scene between the film's lead pair Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif, which he believed wasn't 'up to the mark'," informed the source.

Once the actors were asked to re-do the steamy lovemaking scene, Katrina was apparently pretty upset with the same. The source said, "Katrina is angry with the director and strongly disagreed on the point of re-shooting the entire sequence. In fact, till the last moment, the crew had no clue if the shoot was happening at all. Eventually, the producers calmed Kat down and got her to agree to the scene again. But not before she threw a major fit. Intimate scenes are not easy to do. And then to re-shoot them is a bigger pain."

Earlier, in an interview, Katrina had said how she fell in love with the script of Fitoor. "Fitoor is a script I fell in love with the moment I heard it. I was very excited and passionate about it. When I started working on the film, we initially went slow, then I started understanding things. I have learnt so much from the film. It has re-inspired me... ignited the passion in me as an actor. It is like a new journey for me as an actor. If I could go back and live everyday on the set, I would," Katrina had said.

Fitoor, which has been shot in Kashmir and Delhi, has seen a few glitches along its journey.Rekha deserted the film when several sequences with her in them had already been shot, and then Tabu was roped in to play Rekha's character.

Abhishek Kapoor had earlier penned the story of Rock On, had made his debut as a director with the 2013 film Kai Po Che. Fitoor is his second film. The film is set for a 2016 release.

Aankhen 2: Shahid Kapoor and Katrina Kaif to star in Anees Bazmee's film?

After his last debacle at the box office, Shahid Kapoor is being cautious of his film choices. The 34-year-old actor, who is currently busy shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj's period drama Rangoon, might play the lead role in Anees Bazmee's next. The filmmaker has bought the rights to make the sequel to the 2002 hit film Aankhen. Buzz has it that the Shaandaar actor will be cast opposite Katrina Kaif in the sequel.

According to a report published in Pinkvilla.com, Shahid and Katrina will be a part of Aankhen 2. Amitabh Bachchan will reprise his role from the prequel, while Nawazuddin Siddiqui is yet another addition to the star cast. If everything goes well, the fans will get to see Shahid and Katrina on screen for the very first time.

A source was quoted as telling the website, "Aankhen 2 will star Shahid Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Amitabh Bachchan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead. Official announcements will happen soon."

12 years after Vipul Shah's directorial debut Aankhen, about a bunch of blind men undertaking a dare devilish bank heist, the film's producer Gaurang Doshi is all set to roll with the sequel. And this time Bazmee will helm the project.
 
Bazmee is now all set to take the story forward with a new cast. However, the filmmaker has maintained that he wouldn't make the film without Amitabh Bachchan. When the website contacted Bazmee, he remained tight-lipped on roping in Shahid and Katrina, but at the same time revealed that Big B would definitely be a part of Aankhen 2.

"No comments. But one thing is for sure that without Amitabh Bachchan, Aankhen 2 cannot be made. There are 2-3 other actors also signed. Official announcements will be made soon about this may be in 15-20 days," said Bazmee.

The original film was top-lined by Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Sushmita Sen, Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal and Bipasha Basu.

Prakash Jha Working on Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif’s starrer ‘Rajneeti’ sequel

Rajneeti was one of the biggest hit in director’s Prakash Jha’s career. The movie also helped Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif find their feet in B-town as ‘actors.’ Now, Jha said that plans of making a sequel to his 2010 hit political drama Rajneeti are on and he is currently working on the script. The director will take inspiration from the current socio-political scenario in the country as he finds it interesting.

“I am working on ‘Rajneeti’ sequel. It is still nascent, but it will happen. There has to be a good time to release. It has not been that long anyway. The film released in 2010. I see there are many exciting changes in our political scenario right now. When the story matures, then we will make it,” Jha told a news portal recently.

Jha now is now gearing up for the release of his next film Jai Gangaajal, which is a sequel to Ajay Devgn-starrer Gangaajal (2003). The film with actress Priyanka Chopra in the lead role of a cop will hit theatres in 2016.

Salman Khan FINALLY opens up about teaming up with Katrina Kaif!

Controversy’s child Salman Khan, last week, made a rather odd statement about his former girlfriend Katrina Kaif. The Kick actor has lately been taking a dig at a lot of celebrities from the filmdom, some taken in a humorous way while some taken as an offence. Nevertheless, that doesn’t stop Khan from making statements in public. Katrina Kaif to Give up Acting When She Marries Ranbir Kapoor?

One day, when the moon and stars align and Darth Vader: The Musical is finally penned by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif will get married. Provided, of course, we don't find out suddenly that they are actually brother and sister. When that golden day does happen, probably the day after Salman Khan is acquitted for his hit and run trial, will Katrina Kaif give up acting to be Mrs. Ranbir Kapoor?

In a recent interview with the DNA website, Kaif was asked where she envisioned herself in five years time. Via iFilmBeat, this is what Katrina said, ''You don't need to stop working after marriage anymore in Bollywood. At least till your child is born. I can't sit at home doing nothing so work to me is more important to me than anybody can imagine.'' Interestingly, this quote does not mention Ranbir Kapoor.

Long rumored to get married, the brakes were seemingly applied when Katrina begged the press to let her remain single for a little while longer. In the beginning, it was Katrina who talked up the upcoming nuptials. Then, the very private Ranbir started to talk up his excitement about marrying Katrina. In an article appearing on the website Indian Express, Ranbir had this to say, "This year both of us are extremely busy, so there won't be any time for the marriage. Katrina Kaif 'Fell in Love' With Fitoor Script Instantly

Actress Katrina Kaif said that her forthcoming film Fitoor inspired her to a great extent and ignited the passion in her as an actor.

"Fitoor is a script I fell in love with the moment I heard it. I was very excited and passionate about it. When I started working on the film, we initially went slow, then I started understanding things," Katrina told PTI.

"I have learnt so much from the film. It has re-inspired me, ignited the passion in me as an actor. It is like a new journey for me as an actor. If I could go back and live everyday on the set, I would," she said.

Earlier, the Abhishek Kapoor-directed film had veteran actress Rekha, but Tabu has now replaced her in the movie.

Katrina said that she had a memorable experience working with Rekha. 

"I got few days to work with her. I always had a great connection with her. She had been an amazingly friendly, warm person. We are saddened that it did not work out. Every film has its destiny and we respect that. I have seen Rekha quite a few times. So when she came on sets we had a warm connection. Everyone is a fan of her. I was very respectful towards her. Since we knew each other so it was a close connection," she said.

The Namastey London actress will be seen with Sidharth Malhotra in Nitya Mehra's Baar Baar Dekho.

"Nitya's film is an amazing love story. It is an idea that shocked me when I first heard it. I have not seen or heard a film like this in a long time. Most of the love stories are of similar types, but this one seemed new and exciting. There is a lot of performance in it," she said.

Both Katrina and Sidharth will require prosthetics for getting a certain look for the film.

"It (prosthetics) is there for a small portion in the film, like in Barfi where they Ranbir and Priyanka grow old. So you won't say it is a film which uses only prosthetics. It is used in a small portion in the film. There is a very small portion which shows us ageing, that comes towards the end of the film," Katrina said.

Sonam Kapoor Wants Katrina Kaif in Her New Film?

Actress Sonam Kapoor has reportedly approached Katrina Kaif for the role of a parallel lead in a new chick flick. The film is slated to go on floors next year, after Sonam has completed the shooting of Battle For Bittora.

Katrina, who co-endorses a cosmetic brand with Sonam, is apparently considering the offer quite seriously and will soon be sitting for a film narration session as well. The yet-untitled film will also mark Sonam's sister Rhea Kapoor debut as director. 

The film may also star actresses Huma Qureshi and Anushka Sharma. Rhea has so far produced Aisha, khoobsoorat and Battle For Bittora, all starring Sonam in the lead role. 

Meanwhile, Sonam Kapoor, who was last seen in Dolly Ki Doli, is awaiting the release of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, in which she stars opposite Salman Khan. The Sooraj Barjatya-directed film is slated to hit the screens on November 12. 

After that she will be seen in Ram Madhvani's biopic on Indian flight attendant Neerja Bhanot, who was shot dead by terrorists who hijacked the Mumbai-New York flight at Karachi on 5 September 1986. 

Meanwhile, Katrina, whose last venture was Dhoom: 3 with Aamir Khan will be soon seen in Abhishek Kapoor's adaptation of Charles Dickens' The Great Expectations, titled Fitoor. She had also been busy with the shooting of Nitya Mehra's Baar Baar Dekho and also has Anurag Basu's Jagga Jasoos co-starring Ranbir Kapoor up her sleeve.

Katrina Kaif to Replace Priyanka Chopra in SRK's Don 3?

Gossip mills are abuzz with rumours about a change in casting for Don 3. We hear Katrina Kaif is in consideration to succeed Priyanka Chopra, who featured in the first two parts of the action flick as Shah Rukh Khan's leading lady. If the makers manage to strike a deal with Kat, it will be her second outing with SRK after Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012).

An industry insider says, "The makers want a new face for the Don franchise and are in talks with Katrina. They feel she is one of the few actresses who can comfortably do high-octane action scenes."

Both Katrina and Ritesh Sidhwani, producer of the 'Don' franchise, did not respond to our text messages. On Tuesday evening, the latter had tweeted, "Much speculation on #Don3 & it's Casting.No thoughts of changing its casting. Working towards developing the script.Will keep u posted. Luv (sic)."

A source close to the production team, nevertheless, confirms the development, saying, "Yes, talks are on with Katrina for Don 3, but the makers want to keep it under wraps. Priyanka has her hands full at the moment and is unable to commit herself to the project. It has been four years since the release of 'Don 2' and things for the third part have to be finalised sooner rather than later. The script will be developed to introduce the new (Katrina's) character."

Actresses Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif seem to have a connection that puts them in rival circles over and over again. After the uncomfortable common connection of Ranbir Kapoor, there is something that is again playing the bait - this time a role in Mohit Suri’s adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s Half Girlfriend.

 

We had heard a birdie saying that Katrina is eager to grab the role and has been asking Mohit to cast her. Mohit is now in a fix as he has his mind on Deepika Padukone. A source says, “Deepika was approached to play the female lead or the ‘half-girlfriend’. It is a coming-of-age romcom set in rural areas. As the girl comes from an elite, polished background both Deepika and Katrina suit the role.”

 

Given Katrina’s looks, she has more international appeal to her while Deepika’s edgy ways can be seen in her performances. While Deepika is keeping herself totally busy with just Bajirao Mastani, her subsequent projects aren’t revealed. 

 

It was also reported in a daily that Varun Dhawan tunred down the role of the Bhojpuri speaking boyfriend and now Mohit could be roping in Shahid Kapoor. Guess we'll just have to wait and watch to gets the roles.

Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif Relationship In Trouble? ‘Jagga Jasoos’ Star Cheats On Girlfriend

There have been several rumors regarding the relationship between Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif after they were spotted in Ibiza together. While the couple tried to maintain a low profile, we’ve been seeing plenty of PDA from the two of them, but are things already going downhill?

Kaif reportedly took Kapoor to the Original FX Mayr Health Center in Austria, which helps people quit the addiction of nicotine. The two of them apparently stayed there for a week to go through detox sessions and Kapoor took injections to get rid of his addiction.
The sessions apparently worked for Kapoor while he quit smoking for almost two months, but it looks like he’s back to his old habits.
As far as the couple’s relationship goes, everything else between the two appears to be just fine.
Kapoor recently celebrated his birthday and to make his day special, Kaif and Kapoor spent the weekend at her London home. The two of them went shopping and she event surprised him on his movie’s sets by getting a cake for him.
While the two of them went shopping at a London mall, a source told Mumbai Mirror, “When two female fans chased the actor for a picture with his lady love, he hid behind a wooden pole to dodge them. He made sure to avoid the cameras and the paparazzi.”
“The two spent a weekend in Katrina’s London home before work caught up with them and then met up on the birthday,” the source added.
Kapoor is busy working on his upcoming film, “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” while Kaif is busy filming for “Baar Baar Dekho.”

Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif were snapped recently on the sets of their upcoming flick "Baar Baar Dekho".

As earlier reported, Sidharth had started shooting for the film without Katrina, but now the lead actors were spotted together on the sets in Glasgow.

Looks like the handsome hunk, who sported a rough and tough look in "Brothers", has shed off his extra kilos to fit into his role in Nitya Mehra's next.

"Baar Baar Dekho" will see Sidharth and Katrina romancing each other for the first time.

Sidharth recently shared a photo from the sets where he can be seen posing with Katrina and Nitya. This is the first picture in which the lead actors of the film have been captured in one frame.

The film marks Mehra's directorial debut. She had earlier worked as an assistant director in several films, including "Life of Pi", "Don" and "The Namesake".

Backed by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's production banner Excel Entertainment, "Baar Baar Dekho" is scheduled to be released in 2016.

Meanwhile, the "Student of the Year" actor is basking in the success of his last release, "Brothers", which also stars Akshay Kumar. He is also shooting for "Kapoor and Sons" opposite rumoured girlfriend Alia Bhatt.

On the other hand, Katrina is working on two projects -- "Jagga Jasoos" and "Fitoor". In "Jagga Jasoos", she is sharing screen space with her rumoured boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor and in "Fitoor", Katrina has been paired up with Aditya Roy Kapur for the first time.

The girl has now landed her next film, Nitya Mehra's Baar Baar Dekho. The film, which is about time travel, stars Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra in lead roles.

Naisha will be essaying Kat's childhood. Sources say that the little girl has already shot a couple of scenes for the film in Scotland.

"One was about her going to school and in the other was a birthday celebration with a cake-cutting scene. Ram Kapoor, who plays Katrina's father was also part of the scene."

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who turns 33 on 28 September, is set to entertain movie buffs with three upcoming projects.

After back-to-back flops, the Kapoor lad seems to be back on track. He will be seen sharing screen space with the top three actresses of Bollywood – Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the upcoming projects.

This year, Ranbir will appear with his ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone in Imtiaz Ali's "Tamasha", which will hit theatres on 27 November.

The trailer of the film is expected to be released on Tuesday (22 September), a week before his birthday. The audience is too eager to watch the duo as they have captured hearts whenever they have appeared on screen together.

Apart from "Tamasha", Ranbir and Deepika also created magic with their on-screen chemistry in "Bachna Ae Haseeno" (2008) and "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" (2013).
