 No one likes living alone. Which is why they get pets. Some people get dogs and some get cats. But Katrina Kaif is different. 

She got a parrot. She shared a picture of herself on social media with a parrot and her fans went into a frenzy, even picking names for the bird. But we’ve learned that the actress with the quirky sense of humour posted a pic of her with a wooden parrot and not a real one.
Says a source close to the actress, “She would love to have a pet but she travels for long periods of time and since she lives alone, who will take care of it in her absence? She isn’t the type to get a pet and then ignore it. Whatever she does, is with love and likes to focus her attention on it. Now having signed three big films (one with Salman Khan, one with Shah Rukh Khan and the third with Fawad Khan) she is extremely busy so she doesn’t have the time to get a pet and care for it.”

In Defence Of Katrina Kaif

Let me start with the clarification that I don't know Katrina Kaif personally at all. Never met her, never laid my eyes upon her beautiful personhood, don't know a thing about her personally. I know Katrina like the audience knows Katrina Kaif—the glittering star whose affairs we read about in tabloids and whose item numbers we dance to when we are drunk at weddings. And I've seen her gyrations improve drastically as she settled down and made Bollywood her karm-bhoomi.

I tuned into the uproar about her "honoured with the Smita Patil Memorial Award" (quoting from a news paper report) late, because I was busy dealing with a feline-related domestic crisis. Almost twenty four hours after the announcement, I saw a few Twitter mentions that tagged me and a few other actresses (my contemporaries) asking in varying degrees of rage and sarcasm why Katrina got the award when all of us were still alive and around? I shan't lie—I was rather flattered. Compliments do that, they lull us into such a pleasant feeling, that we sometimes miss all the hullabaloo and uproar in savoring the sweet words. Then I began to read more on this debate and was struck by the kind of rage and angst that this Katrina-gets-Smita-Patil-Award episode generated. I began to wonder why, and began to have that which I have increasingly less of these days (because all intellectual powers are deployed in heeling up and making 'appearances')—critical questioning thoughts. I began to ask myself, what is all this rage about?

I started with a fact check. The said award—the Smita Patil Memorial Award—is conferred by an entity known as the Priyadarshni Academy. In their own words, here is who they are:

Aditya Roy Kapur goes down on his knees for Katrina Kaif and it’s total Aashiqui

While everyone is busy speculating about Katrina Kaif’s relationship status. Look what we just found! Here’s a video of Aditya Roy Kapur literally going down on his knees for Ms Kaif and no we’re not kidding! This actually happened right after their Dream Team performance in Chicago this morning. Adi recreated the Aashiqui vibe by holding Katrina’s hands to the tunes of Tum Hi Ho and even lied down on her feet, dying to hear a yes from the lady. But before you jump the guns to concluding if Adi and Katrina are seriously dating then that ain’t true! The two are just good friends or say professionals who are simply bringing their A game on to the stage with every next performance. So the romance is for you to see and not for them to actually believe in. But yea, none can deny to the fact that the two indeed look really adorable together!
Coming to the video again, as soon as Aditya falls on Katrina’s feet, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra too are seen joining in and trying to woo Ms Kaif. However, the highlight of the video is when Jr Dhawan further grabs a coat and recreates the epic Aashiqui pose with Katrina. Oh! It’s so funny! Katrina Kaif, her ‘Dream Team’ mesmerise Houston

Bollywood stars Katrina Kaif, Parineeti Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, Aditya and Varun Dhawan along with filmmaker Karan Johar and rapper Badshah stormed Houston by bringing the magic of Indian Cinema live on stage.
The celebrities performed as a part of their “Dream Team” concert and enthralled thousands of fans till past midnight Friday. The very first show and the only one in Texas started with a bang.
The show was brought to Houston by a houshold name in North America, Rajinder Singh of Star promotions, who has been bringing countless classic Bollywood shows for last 20 years, Shah Rukh Khan’s “SLAM” and Amitabh Bachchan’s “Unforgettable”, to name a few.
“Out of all my shows till date Dream Team Concert has weaved magic and fan frenzy, with full on entertainment and beautiful pyrotechnics and fireworks on stage” Singh said.
“Fans are already asking for these stars to be here again”.
Earlier, these stars gripped masses at the press conference, that included a meet-and-greet session with the fans.Katrina Kaif charmed all with her smile, Alia Bhat sang few lines of her song.
Varun Dhawan, who missed his connecting flight along with Karan Johar was “sorely” missed by fans at this exclusive meet and greet.
Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, a Senior Member of the House Judiciary Committee, surprised guests and media with her presence at the press conference and honored all the stars present– Katrina, Aditya, Alia, Sidharth and Parineeti with Senate Proclamation for their their dedication towards Art, Culture and entertainment.
The honour was also given to Singh, for keeping Indian culture vibrant in USA through Bollywood Shows.
The stars will tour USA for two weeks and have back to back shows lined up. This weekend, they will perform in San Jose, and Orlando and next weekend in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York, before heading back home.
Bollywood shows across America is a cultural Phenomenon and also a local economic booster.

Katrina Kaif recently attended the special screening of Alia Bhatt's "Udta Punjab" and the two actresses spotted chatting and laughing like best friends at the event. Alia's step sister Pooja Bhatt even shared an adorable picture of the two young divas and called them "sisters."

Earlier, there were rumours of a catfight between Katrina and Alia. It had been reported that the "Shaandaar" actress was the reason behind Katrina and Ranbir Kapoor's break up. It was said that Katrina couldn't bear her then-boyfriend's closeness to Alia at the house parties that used to be thrown by Katrina and Ranbir. Alia's presence in Ranbir's life had started bothering the "Fitoor" actress, leading to unending arguments between the then couple.
Katrina even expected filmmaker Ayan Mukerji to drop the "Highway" actress from his upcoming superhero flick, which stars Ranbir and Alia. However, things didn't work out the way Katrina wanted and the rest is history.
But, the reports turned out to be mere rumour when the two divas were spotted hugging each other at the HT Most Stylish Awards 2016. Alia even shared their photo on Instagram with caption: "Candid! #FavouritePerson."

Not very long back, Superstar Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif were an inseparable couple. Ranbir Kapoor & Katrina Kaif’s Jagga Jasoos unlikely to release in 2016

The release date of the upcoming film ‘Jagga Jasoos’, starring former love-birds Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif has reportedly been pushed to next year. According to a report in DNA, Anurag Basu’s directorial, which was earlier expected to release this year, will now reportedly hit the theatres in March, 2017.

DNA quoted a source, as saying, “The release of the film has now been pushed to either March 24 or 31 next year. Ranbir has Ae Dil Hai Mushkil releasing in October and Katrina has Baar Baar Dekho in September this year. So they want a considerable gap between their films and Jagga.”

The movie has been making headlines ever since Ranbir-Katrina broke up and parted ways. ’Jagga Jasoos’ which will narrate the story of a teenage detective in search of his missing father, also stars actress Adah Sharma in pivotal role.
